New York, NY – June 22, 2016 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the leader in home entertainment, was today awarded the coveted Best of Show Award at CE Week 2016 for its UBD-K8500 Ultra HD Blu-ray. Released earlier this year, the UBD-K8500 Ultra HD Blu-ray player joins Samsung’s full UHD premium ecosystem alongside the flagship 2016 KS9800 SUHD and HW-K950 Soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos.

The HDR-compatible UBD-K8500 Ultra HD Blu-ray player offers four times the resolution and 64 times higher color expression than conventional Blu-ray players. Combined with Samsung’s KS9800 Series SUHD TV with Quantum dot display, the UBD-K8500 presents the purest delivery of 4K content that features HDR available today. Equipped with upscaling technology, the UBD-K8500 can also enhance the picture quality of standard format Blu-ray discs and DVDs.
