Samsung develops prototype of a Key Value solid state drive (SSD) that complies with new open standard from the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).

Standardized Key Value SSDs will greatly simplify software programming and make more effective use of storage resources in IT applications.

Last month, the SNIA's Key Value API standard was selected as a Best of Show Industry Standards winner in the Most Innovative Flash Memory Technology Awards at the 2019 Flash Memory Summit.
