Samsung Electronics has been named to Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list for 2026, earning the #4 spot in the Consumer Electronics category and the #7 spot in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. The annual list recognizes the most groundbreaking companies in every industry and across the globe that are offering a snapshot of innovation today and a playbook for the future.

In the Consumer Electronics category, Samsung was recognized for the Galaxy Fold7, reflecting on a year of rapid progress of launching new form factors and bringing artificial intelligence (AI) into every day experiences – making technology more personal, accessible, intuitive, and seamlessly connected across the products people rely on.

Samsung has long been a pioneer in redefining device categories – and that spirit of innovation continues across its mobile portfolio. The company was the first to bring foldable smartphones to market, transforming what a smartphone could be and opening an entirely new form factor for mobile computing. In 2026, Samsung is also setting a new standard for TV technology with the Micro RGB TV series. Available soon in class sizes from 55” to 115”, these screens feature an industry-first display architecture that unlocks a new world of vibrant color and realism, with options to fit any home. This series will join the growing 2026 Samsung TV portfolio, including our new Neo QLED 4K and Mini LED TVs, OLED, as well as lifestyle TVs like The Frame.

Innovation extends across the connected home as well. Through SmartThings and its expanding lineup of Bespoke AI appliances, Samsung is creating living environments that learn from routines and adapt in real time – from helping manage groceries and meal planning to optimizing home energy use. Samsung’s Bespoke AI Refrigerators with AI Vision Inside™, can recognize food items and suggest meals based on what’s inside.



Samsung is also advancing proactive wellness through its growing ecosystem of wearables. The Galaxy Watch8 series introduces enhanced biometric sensors, advanced sleep insights and cardiovascular monitoring designed to provide more personalized health guidance throughout the day. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Ring brings powerful wellness insights into an entirely new form factor, delivering discreet, continuous health tracking designed to fit naturally into everyday life.

Beyond product innovation, Samsung is also using technology to address broader societal challenges. Through SmartThings Energy, features like AI Energy Mode and Flex Connect help households and businesses reduce energy consumption and lower energy costs. Samsung’s commitment to sustainability also includes circular design initiatives, energy-efficient products, and expanded repair and refurbishment programs that extend device lifecycles.

The company also continues to invest in the next generation of innovators through its Solve for Tomorrow STEM education program, which empowers students across the U.S. to use science, technology, engineering, and math, as well as AI and other emerging technologies, to solve real challenges in their communities. Samsung’s recognition in the Corporate Social Responsibility category is for its customized and innovative Galaxy camera feature, Ocean Mode2, was co-developed with marine scientists and conservationists and was designed to support coral reef monitoring and restoration.

Ocean Mode, and Samsung’s partnership with Seatrees, highlights how local communities, researchers, and technology came together to enable more effective, widespread reef conservation. Originally developed for the exclusive use of the partnership, Samsung is bringing Ocean Mode to Galaxy users, starting from the Galaxy S26 series.  Expanding access to this feature reflects Samsung’s belief that purposeful innovation and technology can drive meaningful progress for people and the planet.
