Title: Samsung Charity Gala Backstage: Pitbull’s Advice to his Younger Self Publish Date: 10.9.2018 Category: Community Involvement https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CPQu12RgaE&feature=youtu.be The 17th annual Samsung Charity Gala, held in New York City, celebrated the collective impact of charitable foundations dedicated to empowering youth through education, mentorship, life-saving medical treatment and the opportunity to gain leadership skills. But before the celebration began, Tim Baxter, President & CEO of Samsung Electronics America, went backstage with world-renowned artist Armando Christian Perez – aka Pitbull – to hear how his SLAM Foundation has impacted its students and find out what his best advice to his 15-year-old younger self would be today. The evening raised $3 million for charitable organizations like Pitbull’s SLAM Foundation, Jessica Seinfeld’s GOOD+ Foundation, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and many more. Through Samsung Gives, the company’s philanthropic platform, Samsung has contributed over $75 million to help more than 2,600 schools, hospitals and foundations throughout the U.S. since 2001.
